Ida Jane Galloway's parents are Robert H. "Bob" Galloway and Sarah Jane Anderson. Bob Galloway's parents were William D. Galloway and Hannah Powell. Remember we were all talking about the Hannah Powell and William Galloway thing some time back. I have a Norma Owen married to Justin "Bud" Anders. Alvin Anders mother was Rose Lee Owen-sister to Norma Owen. They were daughters of Alfred Sherman Owen and Leona Jenetta Lance. The Galloway's lived near my g-grandpa William Chappell down towards the Cane Brake in 1880. Dassie was born in 1886. The Smith's are out of Merle's line of Smith's that come out of that new Fisher daughter we found, Nancy Fisher, who married Thomas Anderson Smith-the long hunter who hunted with James Fisher, JR up in the Hogback area-now Lake Toxaway area. I told Adam about the MountainKin reunions we have. I think he said that he has never been up to NC where his kinfolks live!!

Hope you are feeling better. Great-uncle Ulus was born on 22 April
1891 in Quebec, Transylvania Co, NC and died on 10 October 1972 in
Mooresville, Iredell Co, NC. He was buried at Oak Grove Baptist
Chruch-Flat Creek, Quebec, Transylvania Co, NC. Uncle Ulus was the
son of Alfred Lambert Cantrell and Mary Eveline Anders. He married
first, on 13 April 1913 in Brevard, Transylvania Co, NC, Katie Lee
Powell-daughter of William Anderson Powell and Eleanor Patterson.
Aunt Katie was born about 1893 in Transylvania Co, NC and died on 21
April 1922 in Oconee Co, SC. She was buried at Mt. Carmel Baptist
Church, Jocassee, Oconee Co, SC. They had 3 children: Joe Volitas,
Frank Leeman, and little Mary (Mary burned to death while young.)
Uncle Ulus married second, Dollie Estelle Anders-daughter of Jule
Anders and Sonora Chapman. Aunt Dollie was born on 5 August 1909 in
Transylvania Co, NC and died on 29 March 1988 in Hendersonville,
Henderson Co, NC. She was buried on 1 April 1988 in Forest Lawn
Cemetery, Henderson Co, NC. Aunt Dollie married second about 1975,
Amory "Ame" Lance (??-29 March 1997, Hendersonville, Henderson Co,
NC). Ame was also buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Henderson Co, NC.
Aunt Dollie and Uncle Ulus had 9 children.Patricia
